Success Articles > Who Are You Living For?

If you were to stop and evaluate your life, I mean really evaluate your life. Are you doing what you were born to do or are you doing what other people think you should be doing? There is no reason why you should allow other people to determine your destiny. Now, that doesn't mean that you should never listen to the opinions of others, but what it does mean is that you should not sacrifice your purpose just to satisfy the opinion of others.

Too many of us have lived our lives according to how others think we should live it. And that results in frustration, confusion and lack of life satisfaction. And 20 years down the road if we look back and realize that we missed a phenomenal opportunity to live the abundant life that has been divinely made available to us, then we have no one to blame but ourselves. And no one has to live with the regret but us.

It is a sad reality that people live the way others think they should live, and it is also a sad reality that people die the way people think they should die. You might be thinking what does that mean? Well that means that since some people live the way people think they should live they die with their gifts and dreams still in them. And that is just unfortunate.

Life is just too short to live it by the definition of others. Our lives were given to us as a gift. It was given to us so that we could live it in a way that is fulfilling for us. Not everyone is going to understand why we move in the direction we move in. But as long as we are doing it under divine guidance everything will turn out fine.

So who are you living your life for? Are there things that you still want to do that you haven't done yet? Are they gifts you are not utilizing yet? Is there a business you would like to start? Is there a book that you would like to write? Is there a beautiful country you would like to visit? What does your future look like according to your desires and dreams? Do things that make you happy, do things that bring you joy, and do things that will make you look back in 20 years and say "I lived for myself. And I am so glad that I did!"
